About school

Vilnius Music School “Lyra” was founded in 1993. The institution has been operating in the Šeškinė district for 22 years, and in 2015 it moved to new premises in the Justiniškės district.

The legal form and affiliation of the Music School is a Vilnius City Municipality Budgetary Institution, which has the status of a public legal person with economic, financial organizational and legal independence.

Vilnius Music School “Lyra” is an educational institution complementing formal education.

The head of the school is the principal Ugnius Vaiginis.

The students of Vilnius Music School “Lyra” are regular participants and winners of various international and republican competitions, festivals and other events. Members of the school community are involved in organizing and participating in trips, excursions and events every year. Cooperation with other institutions is maintained and joint events are organized.

The curriculum is divided into two levels: primary music education (4 years) and basic music education (4 years).

After completing 8 years of education according to the prescribed curriculum, pupils are entitled to receive a school completion certificate of a model drawn up by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

Saturday 8.00 – 15.30
